And, of course, with enthusiasm, a desire to improve the practical aspects of the Glock 19 Gen 5 MOS.

Glock 19 Gen5 Accessories

Fortunately, when it comes to accessories for this firearm, the choice is vast. We looked at the many accessory options and narrowed it down to the top 5 MUST HAVE accessories. Check out the list below.

Glock Pa195s702 19 Gen5 Fs 9mm Blue Label Handgun With Glock Night Sights

At the top of our list of accessories for the Glock 19 Gen5 MOS is GlockStore's most popular upgrade for this gun: an extended slide stop lever. Others also refer to this accessory as a release lever.

Having the extended version is a huge help as some people find the small buttons that come with the factory slide stop lever difficult to operate.

The extended slide lock lever is designed with an extra tab for easy thumb access and operation.

These tabs are small enough to hold with your thumb, but not so large that they get in the way of your holster.

Not to mention, this accessory is easy to install and does not require complete disassembly to attach properly.

This upgraded accessory allows you to maintain your grip as you approach the lever. Therefore, releasing images at a faster rate is no longer a challenge.

When you properly install your new release lever, you'll find that you don't have to look for the release because you can feel and access the lever right away.

Additionally, this add-on to your firearm will shorten your recovery time during long shoots.

Shooting Review: The Glock 19 Gen 5

Our second accessory pick, another important modification that can also be made to the popular carry gun, is to replace the magazine release button.

But why would you? The magazine release button that comes with the Glock 19 Gen 5 MOS is a small rectangular piece and not easily accessible.

You need to press the mag release button and if you have medium to small hands, you will need to adjust your grip to reach the mag release.

Unfortunately, the release button is too small and too sharp. If you don't practice fast reloading, especially if you practice lightly and change magazines once or twice, this may not be a problem at all.

But when you're at range or just trying to practice fast reloading, you'll find that the stock magazine release button can hurt your thumb a bit. solution? Replace with Rowe Tactical's extended magazine Glock.

Install the expandable magazine release button and your thumbs will feel better as you no longer have to adjust your grip when releasing the magazine! result? Reload faster! Now, who doesn't want that?

First, it's important to note that there's nothing wrong with the original trigger pull that the Glock 19 Gen5 MOS has. It works perfectly fine.

Glock 19 Gen5 Accessories

However, the introduction of the new 3.5lb trigger connector will undoubtedly make it a better shooter.

Cssi Exclusive Glock 19 Gen5 Revolution Colonial Brown Glpa195s203revgb

The contact is the part of the trigger assembly that regulates the amount of pressure involved when the trigger is pulled and engaged.

Unfortunately, factory versions of the Glock 19 trigger can weigh as much as 6lbs, which will affect shooting accuracy over time.

The factory version requires a long pull before the break point, and you may feel nothing wrong with this trigger pull.

This means you have to pull the trigger harder to hear the "click" that fires the bullet.

Glock 19 Gen5 9mm \

In fact, the more energy you put into pulling the trigger with a heavier stroke, the more you move your finger, which can inadvertently pull the gun and affect your accuracy and ability to hit the target.

For starters, the Glock 19 Gen 5's factory trigger lets you shoot the first or second magazine accurately.

However, when you need to pull the trigger multiple times, such as when practicing rapid-fire scenarios, accuracy suffers from a long, heavy trigger.

Glock 19 Gen5 Accessories

The advantage of the upgraded trigger connector is that you don't have to deal with the problems and difficulties of long trigger pulls.

Glock Accessories: Recommendations For Owners Of The Iconic Firearms

Ghostinc.com changed to a 3.5lbs trigger connector for more accurate shooting,

You will find this especially true during rapid fire practice sessions. The trigger finger doesn't get tired like the original trigger, so you can fire more accurately.

Also, installing a lighter trigger can greatly help you keep your aim when firing, as you won't put as much effort on the trigger after a few pulls.

The 3.5 lb trigger connector is not only easy to install, but also a cheap add-on.

Tired of the rough grainy texture of your Glock 19 Gen 5 grip hitting your stomach when you stash your carry? If so, you will need to install and attach the TALONGrip to your pistol grip.

The adhesive on TALON grip die cut stick-ons typically lasts 1-3 years and can be removed whenever desired. Best of all, if you remove your grips properly, they won't leave any sticky residue behind.

The process of attaching this tape to your gun is simple. All you need is a heat gun and a TALON grip. Of course, you'll always want to do a safety check to make sure the firearm is completely unloaded before installation.

These custom grips are available in three types: Granulate, Rubber and PRO. The rubber grip is especially suitable for concealed carry and open holsters.

The subdivided type is ideal for open carry and its construction is similar to that of a sandpaper pistol.

PRO type is a combination of rubber texture and granular texture. This type of TALON grip provides an aggressive grip without annoying friction against the skin.

When properly installed, the TALON Grip stays firmly in place without moving, allowing for faster, more accurate follow-up images.

Last but not least, the fifth must-have accessory is the Taran Tactical Innovations Glock 19/23 +2/3 Base Plate. As we mentioned in our Glock 19 Gen 5 MOS video review, the availability of aftermarket parts for this firearm is almost limitless.

Mfp G Magazine Floor Plate, Glock

You can definitely add more accessories and modify your Glock to your heart's content. This list of accessories wouldn't be complete if we didn't mention the extended base cushion.

This Taran Tactical Innovations Extended Base Pad adds 3 extra rounds to your 9mm or 2 extra rounds to your 40 caliber magazine. This extended base plate allows you to drop an empty magazine much faster, allowing you to reload faster and gain a significant advantage over the competition.

That much

glock 19 gen5 mos review

Glock 19 Gen5 Mos Review - "Glock Perfection®" has been the company's tagline for years. When Glock released their fifth generation pistols a few years ago, many people asked why. In Generation 5, Glock made things even more perfect. This is kind of an oxymoron, though. I mean, if it's perfect, can it be more perfect? That said, I still hear people asking about the differences between Gen 4 and Gen 5 Glocks, especially when it comes to a common favorite: the Glock 19 Gen 5.

The Glock 19 Gen 5 is the best flagship Glock pistol has to offer. While third and fourth generation Glock 19s are still available on the market and regularly sold, the Glock 19 Gen 5 is a superior model. And for civilians, militaries around the world, and thousands of law enforcement departments in many countries, Glock is often the leading brand.

Glock 19 Gen5 Mos Review

As the fifth generation Glocks and the Glock 19 Gen 5 are now a year old, let's take a look at the changes and upgrades that come with them. When Glock released the Gen 5, they introduced over 20 design changes. These changes are exactly why Gen 5 is a more perfect choice.

Review: Glock G45 Mos For Carry Optics

Many of the changes and updates to the Glock Gen 5 models are minor and cosmetic. In fact, some of these changes may not be very noticeable at first. Other changes, however, offer more reliability, better functionality, and continue to refine and refine the things Glock is known for. To the company's credit, many of these updates and new features are a direct result of customer feedback.

If you are debating buying a Glock 19 Gen 5, this article is for you.

From these changes, these are the most unique and useful: The new GLOCK Marksman Barrel as a standard feature; trigger improvements that help make the trigger smoother; ambidextrous slide stop levers; and upgrades to Glock's Safe Action® System. In addition, Glock now offers the option for factory-installed and upgraded Ameriglo night sights, thus addressing criticisms of their factory plastic sights.

Best Glock 19 Sights (and Other Models)

Let's talk a little bit about the Glock 19 Gen 5. I've shared before that I'm a fan of the Glock 19. When I'm training new male or female shooters, the Glock 19 is always one of the first two guns which I present. to them. They are just a job. They are reliable and easy to remove. The Glock 19 has the perfect balance of size, barrel length, magazine capacity, weight, pull, and even concealability.

Could it be better? Of course it can. This particular model is a Glock 19 Gen MOS. MOS stands for "Modular Optics System". For those who want to add a red dot optic to their Glock 19, this model allows that, with the removable plate in front of the rear sight. This allows the shooter to add any number of red dot patterns from different gun brands.

I also have a Glock 19 Gen 4. Can I tell the difference between the two? The answer is yes.

Glock 19 Gen5 Mos Review

Many of the updates from Gen 4 to Gen 5 are not something most people will notice. However, this is not the case with pull and trigger resets. When Glock released the new slim, single-stack Glock 43 a few years ago, it developed a new trigger system. For the size of the gun, it is very smooth and works well. It worked so well, in fact, that Glock made the new trigger into a system for all Gen 5 pistols. And for a pistol the size of the Glock 19 Gen 5, it's even better.

Glock 19 Gen5 Review: Could This Be The Best 9mm Gun?

Like most modern semi-auto handguns, the Glock 19 is easy to disassemble. However, one of the few criticisms of Glocks has to do with their disintegration. The trigger must be pulled to remove the slide from the frame. It is necessary to ensure that the gun is safe and clear, with no ammunition in the chamber, before the trigger is pulled as part of the slide removal process. Other than that, everything is simple, with few parts to worry about. There are, in fact, only four main components to clean and maintain.

Of course, if one wants to learn or dig a little more, there are many parts to the gun. These parts can be disassembled, modified, upgraded, exchanged, cleaned thoroughly, etc. That, however, is optional.

With that in mind, one of the things that attracts many shooters to Glock pistols is the ease with which they can be rifled and upgraded. There are many third-party products for the gun, especially for the Glock 19 Gen 5. Any of these upgrades or aftermarket accessories may slightly affect the performance of the gun or make it more ergonomic. . In general, there are many options available - which is always good!

Did I enjoy shooting the Glock 19 Gen 5? Absolutely. Whether for a casual and average shooter, or an experienced and competitive shooter, the Glock 19 is a great place to "be".

Glock 19 Gen 5 Pistol 9mm Front Serrations 15rd

It's a great gun and a great platform. It's comfortable, which is important, and easy to use and hold. Plus, I found it to be very accurate, and having an accurate gun out of the box is always a good thing. The rest, as always, is up to you.

If you've never shot or owned a Glock, this is the place to start. The Glock 19 Gen 5 does not disappoint. As the saying goes, perfection is a process. And Glock's process works.

I find the Glock 19 Gen5 to be a marked improvement over the Gen4. It offers more comfort and precision.

Since 1982, Glock has served as a leader in the semi-automatic pistol field. Known for packing a punch despite its small size, the Glock 19 continues to rule the industry.

This comprehensive review analyzes the features of the Glock 19 Gen5. Let's go to other customer reviews and possible alternatives as well.

The Glock 19 Gen5 was developed in response to changes in FBI requirements for firearms. In 2016, Glock signed a contract with the FBI for this gun. After signing the contract, they released the Gen5 to the civilians.

Compared to the Gen4, the Gen5 has a revised grip, barrel, slide, trigger, better magazine, sights and finish.

Glock 19 Gen5 Mos Review

Overall, the Gen5 is a high quality gun. It has excellent functional accuracy, large magazine capacity, compact size and high reliability. The design serves to help you shoot your target with fewer errors.

Sootch00 Gear Review: Glock Mos Gen5 For G19 & G17

When designing the Gen5, Glock eliminated the forward finger grooves to improve the comfort of the weapon. Although not the most ergonomic, it shows an improvement over the Gen4.

This weapon has four removable backstraps. You can choose between medium and large sizes with or without beaver tail. These straps help keep the gun in your hand.

The Glock 19 Gen5's grip angle helps in defensive battles. Although it lacks comfort, it makes up for it by providing plenty of leverage. You can put pressure on the front and back straps for better control while shooting.

The bottom of the grip has a blocky feel, but the rounded top prevents discomfort. Using a dovetail backstrap increases the distance between the trigger and your hand, so you might want to try that for more trigger reach. Controls

The magazine release on this gun is reversible, making it ambidextrous. It's not cased like other Glock 19s, so you don't have to replace it right away.

The slide stops look the same on both sides of the gun. They have a beautiful texture, so you need to practice your technique to get the slide off. Views

glock 19 gen4 vs gen5

glock 19 gen4 vs gen5

Glock 19 Gen4 Vs Gen5 - Glock released the Gen 4 line of pistols in early 2010, which addressed durability issues from caliber to frame and made some minor design changes. Almost seven years later, we are introducing the next generation in the Glock line. Gen 5's differences are equally subtle, but there are a few interesting changes that aren't immediately noticeable.

I have been using a Gen 5 Glock 19 since late August and have put about 4,000 rounds through it since then. I've used it for static accuracy and undercover in dynamic defense drills, with and without a light attached to the rail. I spent time taking it apart, learning about the internal changes and parts replacement issues (because Glocks are fun hobby kits).

Glock 19 Gen4 Vs Gen5

Glock 19 Gen4 Vs Gen5

Essentially, the 5th Gen Glock 19 is just a Glock 19, but there are some interesting and surprising changes that warrant investigation. There are also some caveats that first-time buyers should be aware of. I hope to cover most of them here, but keep in mind that these concepts are based on less than 2 months of use a few times a week. More time can tell more stories.

Hyve Technologies Extended Slide Lock For The Glock Gen 5

Most of this review deals with the differences of the Gen 5 from previous versions and the specific concerns of Gen-5 users (portability, shooting, accessories, etc.). For a more detailed review of the Glock 19, I encourage you to read my review of the Glock 19 Gen 4 here ("Review: Glock 19 Gen 4 - After 80,000 rounds").

Also note that the photos shown in this article do not show factory produced pistols. Rather, they are pictures of a man who uses a gun several days each week. They tend to take a bit of a beating.

The first and best reason to consider this gun is the Glock 19; Probably the best target weapon. It is large enough to be a service weapon, provides functional accuracy and a large magazine capacity, while being small and light for everyday concealed carry.

In addition, it is impossible not to mention the excellent reliability that Glock pistols provide. In my experience I have put over 100,000 rounds through 3rd and 4th generation Glock pistols and the only failures I have encountered have been from substituting non-Glock parts and Cerakote malfunctioning. A Glock pistol with spare parts performs flawlessly even in difficult conditions.

Gun Review: Glock 19 Gen4 The Firearm Blog

You may want to consider the new Glock 19 for Gen 5 for several good reasons. First, the bolt lock lever is now ambidextrous. So if you are left handed, move the lever to the right and you have a complete left hand gun. For those who like Glock pistols but don't have finger grooves, the Gen 5 comes with a flat foregrip grip. No setup required.

Gen 5 brings very little new to the shooting experience, with two notable exceptions. The Glock 19 has always been a soft-shooting, easy-to-handle pistol, and it has always had an accuracy that exceeds 99.9% of its shooters. The new Gen 5 barrel and flat front grip tape bring innovation to this experience.

After shooting a lot of Gen 3 and 4 Glocks, I find the lack of finger grooves noticeable. I was used to the grip complementing my strong hand, and now it feels different. I don't find the difference to be bad, but the finger grooves fit my hand too well and I miss them on this gun. I know a lot of people never liked them, so most people will be happy with this change.

Glock 19 Gen4 Vs Gen5

The new barrel rifling profile has twice the accuracy at long distances (4-inch groups at 50 yards, Glock claims). I'm not good enough to get 4 inch groups at 50 yards yet, but I found my 25 yard groups to be noticeably smaller with the Gen 5 compared to the Gen 4 shooter. I can't say for sure, but I'm guessing it's more associated with the stem.

The Gen 5 trigger feels a little better than the Gen 4, but that's subjective and hard for me to say. The Gen 5 trigger mechanism is completely different from the Gen 4, set up like the Glock 43. It has a "New York" trigger spring that uses a polymer spring rest and compression spring (instead of a tension spring that binds the rod in a cross shape). I tried a 3.5lb connector and didn't notice a difference in pressure weight. So I tried a 2lb jack and got the 4.5lbs of pressure I expect from my pistols. It's interesting.

Most of the 9mm I put through the gun are 115gr pellets, but I also use Federal Premium 147gr Hydra-Shok JHP, Speer Gold Dot 124gr + P GDHP, Federal Premium 124gr HST JHP, I shot from the Hornady range. Critical Defense 115gr and Hornady Critical Duty 135gr...all have great specs.

I didn't feel anything for ~4000 rounds with the Glock 19 Gen 5. The only noticeable issue I can report is that during the first 1000 rounds I sometimes felt a little hesitation during the first round of magazine action. Instead of the standard sliding sound/feeling that comes with a battery, there was sometimes a "ka-kaval" like a slight wobble with a round cam. This anomaly disappeared after about 1000 shots and never affected the performance of the gun. Each cartridge was loaded and fired.

G19 Gen 5 Is The Best All Around Glock, Change My Mind

Like any other Glock pistol, the Gen 5 G19's transition from the trigger guard to the grip is very angular and generally uncomfortable for the middle finger of a strong hand to fire. This is why I believe EVERY Glock pistol should have a Drememel tool on the side and bottom of the safety handle to create a smooth rounded and reduced profile. Other than that problem, the Glock 19 is very comfortable. Some disagree and think a G19 or Glock pistol is fine without a little modification. With this modification, the Glock 19 Gen 5 is very comfortable. It cannot be used without it. Personally, I would never own a Glock that wasn't set up this way. Definitely a nice upgrade to Gen 6.

The Glock 19 is not fast by any means and recoil is very easy to control. The magazine release is good and I need to adjust the grip a bit to accommodate medium sized hands (as with any production pistol). Even with the Glock's minimalist slide-lock grip, my grip often gets in the way of the grip, and I find that the gun occasionally won't lock on the last round in the magazine. This is in no way the fault of the gun. This is all mine.

Although the Glock 19 is compact, it is larger than some in this classification. However, with a good and well-made holster, it can easily be hidden in several places on the belt, inside or outside the waist. I carry a Glock 19 with the indicator in the appendix position every day and never have a printing problem.

Glock 19 Gen4 Vs Gen5

Note that stealth is largely controlled by the case and its configuration. Most holsters made for concealed carry are poorly made and will not adjust the gun to the correct angle to aid concealment. Be careful!

Glock 19 Gen5 Review: Could This Be The Best 9mm Gun?

A Glock 19 capacity of over fifteen rounds is a lot, especially for a compact. Without a doubt, the Glock 19 set the standard for size to power in the handgun world.

The mostly unadorned 5th gen Glock 19 has a black melanite finish, then nDLC coated. The result is a darker and reportedly more durable finish. I really like this new finish and the aesthetic it provides. I can't say if it is durable or not. But I can say that repeatedly dropping it on gravel during practice will result in scratches on the shifter and finish area, as seen here:

The scratches shown above are from several dozen reps of the Wounded Wing exercise shown here:

The polymer frame is very similar to the Gen 4, except the grip is slightly widened on the sides to mimic a magwell (it's just an imitation) and the finger grooves on the front strap are gone. The Gen 5 also has only one pin next to the locking block instead of the 2 pins that are common with recent generations. Perhaps because of this change, the frame is slightly wider and slightly taller than the 4th generation. The grip design is the same as the Gen 4 and is serviceable as long as you don't have wet or bloody hands (so keep your hands tight. If it's a pistol, your Glock).

I've been a fan of XD for years. I've always liked the XDs, I've taken them well and there was no reason to change. I started looking for something new to carry and decided to find my perfect EDC. I wanted at least a 4" barrel, good fit, reputation for reliability, all fingers to match the grip, lefty friendly and preferably not pretentious...finish via edc...oh, I'm 6'2 and 160lbs, so for that it needed no more than to hide it on a street sign. Fired a bunch of ammo through it, about 1000 rounds total with no problems. Shoots tight, hits every time, grip is only 1/4 inch longer than a 13rd subcompact XD and an inch shorter than an XD extended mag. Cons...... The ergonomics aren't great, but I'm comfortable. The new Glock stock sights are not for me and will be replaced soon. The launcher is not that good, already replaced by Apex and its improvements. All in all, the best gun for me and my needs today.

For those of us who live in California, these and many other great firearms will be unavailable due to the California Gun List. If you live here, you can only dream of updated and improved versions of older guns like this one. For those who live on the loose and want a good laugh, check out the CA gun list. Those of us who experience them can only cry.

Just received my G19 Gen 5 on 03/12/18… and I love it. My first 250 shots from the range where hit. My accuracy was really good at about 10-15 yards. Really surprised being my first Glock. Bought a 30 round extended mag for it...and had an EXPLOSION at the range, Literally.

I have had my Gen5 for 2 months and have put about 1200 rounds through it, I have used about 7 different brands of ammo and different types of ammo like hollow point and fmj different pellets and all that. No problem. Literally works flawlessly every time. Plus, the new finish on the barrel and slide looks amazing and is easy to clean. The tolerances are a bit tighter, so there will be wear rings on the barrel, but that obviously doesn't affect accuracy. The newer barrel is very reliable to me at 20-25 yards, if you do your duty this rifle will not disappoint. The lack of finger grooves is a big problem for me. I couldn't be happier with another gun.

I love the Gen 5, it's my first gun. I have already put 1000 rounds. A lot of fun, but it's reliable. I know the gun came out recently, but I wish there were more parts to customize my Glock; extended well mag. Maybe something to fill in the "cut" magazine they did recently for Gen 5? How long will it be before companies start supplying 5th gen aftermarket parts?

Glock 19 Gen5 9mm, 4.02\

I shot it for about 7 months and shot about 4200 shots. I haven't had any problems yet. over time the trigger got better (which was already an improvement on the Gen 4). I installed a 3.5 connector that you can find on this site and it helped smooth the trigger and is perfect for EDC. I also got an extended slide removal lever which makes disassembly much easier. A slightly flared mag helps with shifting, the barrel still shoots very straight, and the barrel and slide finish still hold up. I pull it in and out of my kydex holster many times a day practicing my weight and dry fire and the finish doesn't wear at all and is still clean of gunpowder. Very well made gun and nice upgrades from Gen 4.

Seriously, anyone thinking of getting this gun, do it and treat yourself!! It is truly an amazing gun and you will not be disappointed.

Gen 5 is definitely an upgrade from Gen 4. I remember the subjective. hand size, tight or loose controls, grip feel and finger groove preferences. I think there is better grip due to the changes made. I like the finger grooves on the Gen 4, but the Glock 19 was and still is too small for my hands, however an angle or something makes it more accurate. I know a lot of people are concerned about the money of a new rifle, but I found it to be very accurate. I liked the 124 grain Winchester 9mm Luger NATO FMJ through it and they were hot rounds. All factory parts are good.

Glock 19 Gen5 For Sale

I bought the Gen 5 right after it came out and it hasn't let me down. I also have a G19 Gen 4 and still love it. However, I think Gen 5 became my favorite back then. It shoots really well, a bit better than 4th Love (for me anyway). I really like the new slide coating and the lack of finger grooves. There is so much more I could say, but in the end...I recommend this gun.

Glock 19 Gen 5

Great gun to replace my Glock 19 Gen 3. Modified with a Romeo Zero Red Dot and makes it a very accurate gun.

Well, so far so good. I really like it and it wears well. Good size, great hand size. If I wanted a smaller concealment gun, I have others. 16 rounds of 9mmP should be more than enough to "get the job done". God forbid something like this ever comes up. My only concern with this pistol is the lack of add-ons or upgraded replacement parts for sale for the Glock 19 models 1-4. A new barrel with a regular rifle than other Glock models that should work with lead loading is a plus. Glock doesn't recommend reloading, so I'm on my own there.

I bought my first Glock and it is a Glock 19 Gen5 and I have to say I love everything about it including the trigger which is perfect. I have only had it since October and the moment I laid my hands on it I knew this was my gun.
